Watercolor Crayons and Heartfelt Thanks!

  • 051_4 This was one of the cards I made for eScape on June 25.  It was the first time I played with the water colors and I love the look. I might have to play with them more to get some different effects, but how are is it to play with crayons and paper.  The hard part is finding the time.  People ask me, "When do you find time to do this?"  I tell them I make the time because it is important to me and helps me be creative and I think it is theraputic for me as well.

Masculine Birthday Card

060_3 My neighbor is throwing a suprise party for her husband's 69 1/2 birthday. I love the card, but you can't see the side. The front is about 1/4 shorter than the back, then I distressed the paper and added always artichoke to it.  I love the look - this might be a keep for a card class!

Customer & Hostess Appreciation Brunch

This is a cute little make and take my customers and hostesses will be making at Sunday's Br064_5unch Buffet.  I can't wait to finish making the sample for the hostesses - check back soon to see if it is up.  This was so simple and easy, now I need to find some candy to put in it!

Fresh Cut Notecards!!

021_4I love these new Fresh Cut notes and the stamp set.  It really is very clean and crisp.  I have seen it used a variety of ways, here is just one.  I have an Open House this coming Wednesday, June 25 - it is eScape Day!!  I hope you can join me for an evening of card making and fun as we try to forget about emails, computers and cell phones and all the "e" world out there.  It is always nice to reconnect with friends and even nicer when you hear back from them.

Happy Graduation!

Susan in my Bunco group, just graduated from nursing school.  This is the card I made for all of006 us to sign. I thought it was cute since it is from a group and the box of band aids is like the group.  I know she will love it.  It was fun, but if I did it over, I would change the box holding the band aids.  Probably not going to play with it again soon, but still like the set!

Thank you Gift Card holders

I copied this design from my up-upline Tina.  It was so easy to do.  I figured it out and made 8 in less than 45 minutes.  Too cute!  I gave them as thank yous with a Panera gift card inside to our MOMS Club board members and the chair heads.  They all loved them and thought they were adorable.  I hope to make a class using this idea - it was so simple.  I'll have to keep it in mind for the holiday card class!

Testing the Waters

003I love this layout and the colors.  I am so sad the In Colors will be retiring because I have really grown to love them.  I am sure I will love the new ones as well.  Here is John with Eric as he was apprehensive about the waves when we were in Del Mar last year.  I can't wait till I can sit down and do more scrapping of my own. I just finished an album for JP's preschool teacher and she loved it.  I am so glad it turned out - or course I didn't get any good photos of it, but that is okay.  It will just inspire me to get more done of my own and get better organized.  Scrap the Night Away is this Saturday so I should be able to get some pages done then! Yea!
